The Annapurna Base Camp trek is probably the most popular treks in the Annapurna region. The trail goes through terraced rice fields, alpine rhododendron forests, and high altitude landscapes, with the view of Annapurna Range throughout the journey. The Annapurna Base Camp is situated at 4130 meter in unique and incredibly spectacular view, set in the foot of the mighty peaks of Annapurna I (8091 mtrs), Annapurna South (7219 mtrs), Machhapuchhre (6993 mtrs) and Hiunchuli (6441 mtrs).

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes 7 to 11 days, depending on your choice of itinerary and length of walking days. The itinerary presented here takes 11 days, starting from Nayapool at 1 ½ hour driving from Pokhara, and going north up till Ghorepani and the famous viewpoint of Poon Hill. From Ghorepani the route goes eastwards to Chommerong and then north again, entering the Modi Kola Valley up till the Base Camp.

People with limited time usually only trek the circuit Nayapool-Ghorepani-Ghandruk-Nayapool, which is very rewarding in itself and this short trek can easily be done with children as well. Also the route can return via Jhinu Danda, and give your tired muscles a well deserved rest in the delightful hot springs. Upon your return it is worthwhile visiting one of the Gurung villages of Ghandruk or Landruk. The lodges in the Annapurna Trekking Region are well equipped with in general extensive menus, ranging from the typical Nepali Dal-Bhat (rice with lentils) to pizza’s and spaghetti. Hot showers are readily available as well. The Annapurna’s are easily accessible, with the starting points of the different treks just an hour or two away from Pokhara.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrival in Kathmandu-Transfer to Hotel.

Day 2:  Kathmandu to Pokhara overland Journey.

Day 3:  Trek to Tikhedhunga via Nayapul.

Day 4:  Trek to Ghorepani via Ulleri.

Day 5:  Explore Poonhill and Trek to Tadapani.

Day 6:  Trek to Sinuwa/Bamboo Lodge via Chhomrong.

Day 7:  Trek Bamboo Lodge/Sinuwa to Deurali.

Day 8:  Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 9:  Trek Back from Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan.

Day 10: Trek from Dovan to Chhomrong.

Day 11:  Trek from Chhomrong to Ghandrung.

Day 12: Trek from Ghandrung to Nayapul and Drive back to Pokhara.

Day 13: Tourist Bus Journey from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 14:  Kathmandu to Your Port of Destination.

Day to Day Schedule of our Package:

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu-Transfer to Hotel.
Welcome assistance by Himali Monsoon representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Rest at the hotel and briefing about the trip. Overnight accommodation is set with BB Plan.

Day 2:Kathmandu to Pokhara overland Journey.
Assist by guide to transfer from Hotel to Tourist Bus Departure place at 07:00 Am and takes about 6 hours journey toward Pokhara where overnight accommodation with BB Plan is arranged.

Day 3: Trek to Tikhedhunga via Nayapul.
After breakfast, drive to Nayapul (New Bridge) for an hour by private vehicle and trek to Tikhedhunga (1495 meter) about 4-5 hours, on the way lunch and overnight at lodge/tea-house with dinner.

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani via Ulleri.
After having breakfast the trek starts from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2850 meter) via Ulleri about 5-6 hours walking, on the way lunch and overnight at lodge/tea-house with dinner.

Day 5: Explore Poonhill and Trek to Tadapani.  
Early morning trip to Poonhill (3232 meter.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri , Tukuche Peak Nilgiri, Varaha Shikhar , Mt. Annapurna I , Lamjung Himal and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After breakfast trek to Tadapani (2520 meter) with 6-7 hours walking where the overnight accommodation with dinner is scheduled.

Day 6: Trek to Sinuwa/Bamboo Lodge via Chhomrong.   
Having early breakfast the trek begins from Tadapani toward Sinuwa (2310 meter)/Bamboo Lodge via Chhomrong, lunch provided on the way, after walking 6-7 hours and the lodge/tea-house is arranged for overnight accommodation.

Day 7: Trek Bamboo Lodge/Sinuwa to Deurali.  
From Sinuwa or Bamboo Lodge the trek begins for Deurali (3150 meter) which takes about 6-7 hours walking with on the way lunch. The overnight accommodation with dinner is provided at tea-house/lodge in Deurali.

Day 8:Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp.
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4090 meter), after breakfast, takes about 4-5 hours walk for today, on the way lunch and overnight accommodation with dinner in lodge/tea-house is provided at ABC.

Day 9: Trek Back from Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan.
From Annapurna Base Camp the trek begins to Dovan (2600 meter) which takes about 5-6 hours walking down. On the way lunch and overnight accommodation with dinner is arranged at Dovan.

Day 10: Trek from Dovan to Chhomrong .
Our guide will take you toward Chhomrong (2310 meter) by down trekking after walking about 5-6 hours providing on the way lunch and keep you in tea-house/lodge at Chhomrong for overnight.

Day 11:Trek from Chhomrong to Ghandrung.
This day’s trek starts from Chhomrong toward Ghaundrung (1940 meter) after breakfast which takes about 3-4 hours. Your lunch and dinner is served in Ghandrung with overnight accommodation in Lodge/tea-house. Here you may spend your time for exploring indigenous Gurung culture.

Day 12: Trek from Ghandrung to Nayapul and Drive back to Pokhara.
This morning the trek starts after having breakfast in Ghandrung toward Nayapul about 4 hours with lunch on the way from where you are taken to Pokhara by private vehicle driving and keep you in Hotel as per agreed category with BB Plan.

Day 13: Tourist Bus Journey from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
After having breakfast your trip starts by drive back from Pokhara to Katmandu by tourist Coach about 6 hours driving and overnight is arranged in Kathmandu as per agreed category with BB Plan.

Day 14: Kathmandu to Your Port of Destination.
Our representative will drop you to the International Airport (TIA) to assist you for your final departure to your home or alternatively the next destination.
